Abusing your child - now you get 10 years

South Africa — Bradley Conner and Malinda Marshall were sentenced to 10 years imprisonment,  after assaulting their young boy 'Baby Michael'.  

The Johannesburg Regional Court sentenced Conner and Marshall on Friday,  13 June,  after their action their actions left their baby blind and brain damaged.  

In November 2011 they were found guilty of assault,  after it was made known that the abuse started when Michael was only 3 months old.  

Marshall and Conner were 18 years of age at that time.  

Michael, who suffered from cerebral palsy, died at the Avril Elizabeth Home in October 2011.   

“The parents showed no remorse at all. People must understand that you cannot used to saying that you are not responsible for your actions,” said Women and Men against Child Abuse spokesperson Vincentia Dlamini-Ngobese.
